- The Arch was back in the outfield grass at Busch Stadium on Tuesday night, but it didn't produce a change in the Cardinals' home performance in a 7-4 loss to the Mets. Jaime Garcia allowed five runs in the first two innings as the Cardinals' home record fell to 28-34.

- Randal Grichuk homered for the Cardinals, extending their streak with at least one homer to 12 consecutive games. They also had a 17-game homer streak in July, making this the first season they have done that twice since 1998.

- The Cardinals lost a key member of their scouting departmetn on Tuesday when Midwest cross-checker Matt Swanson was hired to be the new amateur scouting director of the Angels.

- Carlos Martinez will get the start tonight against the Mets; Jacon deGrom.
