Cards to open playoffs with 4 p.m. game on Thursday

The Cardinals will play at 4:07 p.m. Thursday in the first game of the Division Series at Busch Stadium against the winner of the wild card game Tuesday night between the Pirates and Reds. Game time for the second game of the series on Friday will be12:07 p.m.

- Vince Dunn's first career game in his hometown was one to remember Tuesday night as he scored in overtime to lift the Blues to a 2-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Toronto. Dunn scored off a 2-on-1 break with Paul Stastny 3:18 into the overtime. The Blues had tied the game with 57 seconds left in regulation on a gola by Alexander Steen.

- The Blues stay in Canada to play the Senators on Thursday night in Ottawa.
