- Michael Wacha turned in his best start in more than a month and got offensive help from Randal Grichuk and Jedd Gyorko to give the Cardinals an 8-4 win on Monday over the Reds on Monday at Busch Stadium.

- Wacha allowed just one run over six innings and Grichuk and Gyorko both hit a two-run homer as part of three-RBI days in winning the makeup of a game rained out on April 29.

- The Cardinals now head to Arizona, where they will open a three-game series tonight against the Diamondbacks. Carlos Martinez will get the start against Taijuan Walker.
