- Mike Leake had another rough start, allowing six runs in three innings, and the Cardinals' streak of allowing at least five runs reached 11 consecutive games with Sunday night's 6-3 loss to the Pirates in the Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pa.

- Leake's ERA in four August starts, in which is 0-3, rose to 10.31. The streak of 11 consecutive games allowing five or more runs is the second longest streak in franchise history. They allowed five or more runs in 13 consecutive games twice, the last time in 2003.

- The Caridnals are off today before opening a homestand with the first of three games against the Padres on Tuesday night at Busch Stadium.
