UPDATE:

The St. Louis Cardinals will move forward with both the Cardinals Caravans and Winter Warm-Up activities scheduled for Sunday, January 15th and Monday, January 16th. The Cardinals made the decision to confirm both events after consulting with the National Weather Service and representatives of the Missouri and Illinois Departments of Transportation.

“We understand the worst of the storm will have passed before we open our doors to fans on Sunday,” said Michael Hall, Executive Director of Cardinals Care and Vice President of Community Relations. “We are blessed to have all of our players scheduled to sign on Sunday already safely in St. Louis and are confident those scheduled to arrive Sunday shouldn’t be delayed by weather.”

The team also confirmed today that the Cardinals Caravans sponsored by Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance and scheduled for Sunday and Monday will take place as scheduled. Caravan 5 will visit the towns of Mattoon, Decatur, Springfield and Effingham in Illinois. Caravan 6 will visit Carbondale Illinois, Evansville, Indiana, Paducah, Kentucky and Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

The Cardinals had cancelled the caravans scheduled for Friday and Saturday, as well as cancelled the first day of the Winter Warm-Up, due to severe winter weather, flight cancelations and the recommendation of highway department officials to encourage the public to stay off of area roads while the departments treat them for icy conditions.

For complete schedule of the Winter Warm-Up, fans should visit cardinals.com/winterwarmup and they should visit cardinals.com/caravan for more details about the Cardinals Caravan presented by Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

It started out being a big weekend for the Cardinals with the start of the Cardinals Caravan, the Winter Warm-up and the Baseball Writers Dinner, but unfortunately the weather has intervened and parts have been cancelled. Here is the latest and we will be updating if there are any additional changes.

Winter Warm-Up

–Due to severe winter weather, flight cancelations and treacherous conditions on area roads, the St. Louis Cardinals have announced that they have cancelled the first day (Saturday, January 14th) of the 2017 Winter Warm-Up event at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch.

At this point, the balance of the Winter Warm-Up Weekend planned for Sunday and Monday remain as scheduled; however, the team will continue to closely monitor the situation to determine if anything should be adjusted due to the inclement weather impacting the region.

“We are very disappointed that we need to cancel the first day of the Warm-Up,” said Michael Hall, Executive Director of Cardinals Care and Vice President of Community Relations. “With a little help from Mother Nature, we look forward to welcoming fans to Sunday and Monday’s activities at the Warm-Up as we kick off the 2017 season by helping kids in our community.”

Fans that purchased autograph tickets for Saturday will be automatically refunded. All fans that purchased passes for the weekend will also receive a voucher for two complimentary tickets to the 2017 baseball season for every pass purchased (adult and kids passes). Fans who purchased vouchers on line will automatically receive their complimentary ticket vouchers, while fans that purchased by other means may claim their voucher at the Busch Stadium ticket windows starting on Tuesday, January 17th or by mailing their passes to the Cardinals ticket office (Cardinals Ticket Office/Attention Winter Warm Up/ 700 Clark Street, St. Louis, MO 63102). Fans that seek to redeem their vouchers via the mail should be sure to include a return mailing address.
