- Missouri Baptist University baseball lost 2-0 vs. Faulkner University.
-Sophomore Melissa Gilkey broke her own school record on the way to a third-place finish in the women’s javelin Saturday to help the Washington University in St. Louis women’s track & field team to a 12th-place finish at the 2013 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
-Webster University stayed alive in the NCAA Division III World Series in Appleton, Wis., today with a 5-3 victory over Manchester University in a loser's bracket game. The Gorloks' next game will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
- Washington University in St. Louis junior Jasmine Williams tied for fifth in the women’s high jump to earn the first All-America honors of her career Friday on the second day of the 2013 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
-Saint Louis outlasted Xavier, 6-4 to advance to the conference championship game today (Sat.) at 11:00 a.m. CT. Marco Mejia (3-2) gets the win, throwing four scoreless innings with one hit and a strikeout. It is the most innings Mejia has thrown in his career.
-Washington University in St. Louis senior Adam Putterman, Houston, Texas (Memorial) captured the 2013 NCAA Division III Singles National Championship with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Mark Kahan of Amherst College Saturday at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich.
-A six-run sixth inning allowed Kean College (N.J.) to break a 3-3 tie en route to a 14-8 win over Webster University Friday night in the opening round of the NCAA Division III World Series in Appleton, Wis. The Gorloks will play Manchester in an elimination game on Saturday.
- The Missouri softball team lost 1-0 to the Washington Huskies in game two of its NCAA Super Regional matchup Friday. The loss, which brings the Tigers' season to a close, was in large part due to a strong pitching performance by the Huskies, who threw a combined two-hitter. Mizzou starte Chelsea Thomas also threw a two-hitter, allowing only a leadoff home run.
-Junior Anna Etherington and senior Anne Diaz-Arrastia each captured All-America honors for the Washington University in St. Louis women’s track & field team on the opening day of the 2013 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships Thursday at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
