- The Blues will be looking for their fifth consecutive win when they play the Capitals in Washington this afternoon. The Blues are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games and are coming off consecutive shootout wins, with Kevin Shattenkirk scoring both game-winning goals. Brian Ellliott is expected to start in goal.
- Neither Kurt Warner or Orlando Pace received enough votes to be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday in their first year of eligibility. Former Rams running back Jerome bettis was elected and will be enshrined in the hall in Canton, Ohio this summer.
- Saint Louis University erased a nine-point deficit in the second half but missed a shot in the closing seconds and lost its fourth consecutive game Saturday, 60-56 to UMass at Chaifetz Arena,
- The Missouri Tigers suffered their seventh consecutive loss on Saturday, falling 67-47 to Mississippi, dropping the Tigers into a last-place tie with Vanderbilt in the SEC standings.
