 -The Cardinals said today first baseman Matt Adams will miss a significant amount of time because of the injury to his right leg he suffered in Tuesday night's game. While the MRI was still being reviewed, GM John Mozeliak said, "it's going to be a while. It won't be 15 days." Surgery is still a possibility, Mozeliak said.

- To replace Adams for tonight's game against the Diamondbacks, the Cardinals recalled catcher Ed Easley from Triple A Memphis.

- The Cardinals will try to complete a sweep of the three-game series against the Diamondbacks tonight. Lance Lynn will pitch against Josh Collmenter. 

- The Blues' Ken Hitchcock began looking forward on Tuesday after agreeing to return to coach the term under a new one-year contract. Hitchcock has been the team's coach since Nov. 7, 2011.
