Lindenwood University Roller Hockey and Softball teams provide fun day for Children

There was an eclectic group of people playing field hockey on Saturday at Lindenwood University including a girl in a wheelchair, a boy who is legally blind, a girl with a prosthetic leg, a boy who has had a multi-organ transplant, many kids in active treatment for cancer, their brothers and sisters-- and members of the Lindenwood Softball and Hockey teams and coaches.

- The Blues will be looking for their fifth consecutive win when they play the Capitals in Washington this afternoon. The Blues are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games and are coming off consecutive shootout wins, with Kevin Shattenkirk scoring both game-winning goals. Brian Ellliott is expected to start in goal.

- Neither Kurt Warner or Orlando Pace received enough votes to be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday in their first year of eligibility. Former Rams running back Jerome bettis was elected and will be enshrined in the hall in Canton, Ohio this summer.
