- Coach Ken Hitchcock said today that Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko will miss Thursday night's game against Calgary because of a lower-body injury. Hitchcock said Tarasenko's status is "day to day." The Blues recalled forward Ty Rattie today from their Chicago affiliate in the AHL. Jake Allen will start in goal against the Flames.

- The Blues trail division-leading Nashville by four points but are now just one point ahead of third-place Chicago. The Blues have six games remaining in the regular season, including two against the Blackhawks.

- In his first start since being officially being named to the rotation, Carlos Martinez worked six scoreless innings as the Cardinals beat the Mets 5-4 today in Port St. Lucie. He allowed just three hits while striking out five, including David Wright three times.

- The Cardinals will play their final game in Florida on Thursday, hosting the Mets in Jupiter. Lance Lynn will make the start.
