- Lance Lynn pitched seven shutout innings and Stephen Piscotty went 4-of-4, drove in a run and scored twice to lead the Cardinals to a 6-0 win over the Giants Saturday in San Francisco. Lynn had to leave the game in the eighth inning after spraining his right ankle.

- The Cardinals will conclude the series in San Francisco and the road trip on Sunday. Jaime Garcia will pitch against Chris Heston.

- Nick Foles says he is seeing progress from the starting offense even though the Rams fell to 0-3 in the pre-season with a 24-14 loss to the Colts Saturday night in their home opener. Foles completed 10 of 11 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown in playing the first half of the game.
