 - A fielding error led to the Cardinals scoring the tie-breaking run without a hit in the eighth inning Saturday as they snapped their season-high four-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Padres at Busch Stadium. In the eighth, Tommy Pham reached on the error, stole second, went to third on a groundout and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jhonny Peralta.

- Before the game the Cardinals recalled pitcher Mitch Harris from Memphis and optioned infielder Greg Garcia to the Triple A team.

- The Peoria Chiefs announced Saturday that right-hander Luis Perdomo will represent the Cardinals in the Futures Game in place of right-hander Alex Reyes, who is on the disabled list at Palm Beach but had hoped he could return in time to pitch in the game. Perdomo also will be on the World roster.

- Lance Lynn will get the start in today's game against the Padres' Ian Kennedy as the Cardinals close out the home stand and try for a split of the four-game series.
