The Blues made three deals before the NHL trading deadline on Monday. Among the three players they acquired was forward Olli Joakinen from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

- The Blues made three trades before the NHL trading deadline on Monday. They acquired forward Olli Jokinen from the Toronto Maple Leafs and defensemen Robert Bortuzzo from the Penguins and Zbynek Michalek from the Arizona Coyotes. Going to Toronto was forward Joakim Lindstrom while the trade with the Penguins sent defenseman Ian Cole to Pittsburgh,

- Carlos Martinez will be the starting pitcher for the Cardinals spring training opener on Thursday against the Miami Marlins in Jupiter.
