- The Cardinals open a three-game series in Pittsburgh tonight with John Gant getting the start, The team had the day off on Thursday.

- Alex Reyes completed his fourth rehab start Thursday night in Memphis with seven scoreless innings and 13 strikeouts. In his four starts he did not allow a run in 23 innings, allowed just seven hits and struck out 44. He is expected to start for the Cardinals next Tuesday or Wednesday in Milwaukee.
