- Some of their young players including Harrison Bader came through as the  Cardinals rallied for three runs in the eighth inning to defeat the Pirates 6-4 Sunday in Pittsburgh. Bader's pinch-hit single with the bases loaded tied the game before Yairo Munoz drew a bases loaded walk and Carson Kelly drove in the final run on a groundout. Jedd Gyorko also had a two-run pinch-hit single in the seventh.

- The Cardinals confirmed that Alex Reyes will make his first start since 2016 on Wednesday in Milwaukee. The game will not be televised and will only be available on Facebook Live, part of a new MLB platform.

- Luke Weaver gets the start in the first game of the series today against the Brewers.
