Cardinals break ground on Ballpark Village

ST. LOUIS (February 8, 2013) – The St. Louis Cardinals and the Cordish Companies broke ground this morning on Ballpark Village, a mixed-use development on 10-acres adjacent to Busch Stadium. A group of team officials, project participants, and civic leaders commenced work on the $100 million first-phase of the development with the symbolic turning of dirt with commemorative shovels.

- After getting shut out by the Blues on Saturday night, the Jets returned the favor on Sunday night in the second game of the back-to-back, home-and-home weekend series with a 4-0 win in Winnipeg. The Jets had 46 shots on goal against Jake Allen after Carter Hutton had made a career-high 48 saves on Saturday night.

- The game began a four-game Canada trip for the Blues leading up to the Christmas break. They will play in Calgary on Wednesday night.
