This spring marked the 31st Spring Training for Rob Rains. First it was in St. Petersburg, Florida and then in 1998 Roger Dean Stadium was built and the Cardinals started training in Jupiter, Florida.

First Stop: Drury Hotel in Nashville (or Valdosta, GA; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL)

Every year we drive down. We like doing "Road Trips" and there is always a Drury Hotel to stay at. If traveling to an area where there's a Drury you should use our promo code: There are a lot of reasons that the Drury Hotels make our lives easier and some of them are: extremely fast internet connection, great "Sunny Fresh" eggs every morning -- with cheese on them if you want, indoor/outdoor swim pool and hot tub, plus the "Kick Back" dinner with drinks to wind up the day. With all the Drury Hotels have to offer-- the internet connection is the best. We rely on a quick and strong internet connection to get our stories out and there is never a second to wait to get connected.

Special thanks to KUNA FOODSERVICE who got on board with sponsorship for Spring Training.

If not for our sponsors we could not bring you the great coverage of Spring Training. Check out St. Louis Best Restaurants sponsored by Kuna Foodservice.

The Villages, Florida-- Next Stop: Cardinals Nation

On the way down, Rob was asked to be a guest speaker at The Villages, an amazing planned community, and we met some very neat Cardinals fans. They have a whole group of about 300 transplanted Cardinals fans who call themselves Cardinals Nation and they get together for fun events and go to Spring Training games. On this particular night they were all decked out in their Cardinals red and ready for some Cardinals talk with a lot of good question and answer discussion.

Our hosts for this leg of the trip were Mike and Jeri Neumann (shown to the right of Rob in picture above) who split their time between St. Louis and The Villages. Mike Neumann is the program planner and invited Rob to speak. Glenda and Bruce Wolfe run Cardinals Nation. They are shown to the left of Rob in the picture.

Spring Training Bash for Charity

Five years ago we did our first Spring Training Pep Rally Party. For the past four years we have been doing it at the Homewood Suites. If you plan to come to Spring Training next year you should check with us about when the party will be. It's always a lot of fun. This year we had Cardinals shortstop Aledmys Diaz as our special guest. The Homewood Suites sponsor it with us and proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Palm Beach as well as Rainbows for Kids in St. Louis. Every year the crowd gets larger and the event gets more fun.
