As Opening Day get closer, the Cardinals have a lot of announcements coming out. Here are the latest:

New Subscription Ticket Introduced

The St. Louis Cardinals announced the launch of the Cardinals Ballpark Pass, a new ticket subscription service that gives fans the opportunity to attend as many Cardinals home games as they want each month, for a monthly fee of $29.99. On sale now at, the Cardinals Ballpark Pass covers all Cardinals home games except Opening Day (April 2) and will be utilized in conjunction with the Ballpark mobile app.
On each game date, Cardinals Ballpark Pass subscribers will receive a Standing Room ticket delivered digitally to their smartphone through the Ballpark app.
“The Cardinals Ballpark Pass gives our fans another flexible and affordable option to take in a Cardinals game at their leisure,” said Joe Strohm, Vice President of Ticket Sales. “We believe this ticket subscription service is a perfect fit for millennials and young professionals that may be a bit more spontaneous in planning their visits to Busch Stadium.”
With a Standing Room ticket, fans can enjoy the game, pregame activities and ballpark atmosphere from the Budweiser Bowtie Bar in the Left Field Porch, the Ford Plaza in Centerfield, the Perficient Perch in the Infield Pavilion or Riverview Corner in the Right Field Pavilion, among other areas.
Additionally, fans entering Busch Stadium with the digital Standing Room ticket are eligible to receive promotional giveaway items at the gate for each game (provided they are eligible based on that giveaway's posted age and quantity restrictions).

Opening Day Coverage on FOX Sports Midwest Includes Pre-Game Ceremonies

Live one-hour special will include traditional appearances by the Clydesdales, Hall of Famers and player motorcade

FOX Sports Midwest will televise the Cardinals’ 2017 Opening Day pregame ceremony live to fans throughout the region on Sunday, April 2. The one-hour special will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT.

The Cardinals’ opener against the Chicago Cubs that night at 7:30 p.m. will be carried exclusively by ESPN as part of Major League Baseball’s national TV package.

Dan McLaughlin and Rick Horton will anchor pregame ceremony coverage from FOX Sports Midwest’s studio in Ballpark Village, while Jim Hayes will report from inside Busch Stadium. The tradition-filled ceremony (#OpeningDaySTL) will include appearances by the Budweiser Clydesdales, Cardinals Hall of Famers and introduction of the 2017 team. Cardinals coverage will be preceded by the Blues’ 3 p.m. game vs. the Nashville Predators at Scottrade Center, part of a jam-packed sports day on Clark Street in downtown St. Louis.

The pregame ceremony will also be streamed live on FOX Sports GO, available to customers of participating pay-TV providers.

“Opening Day is one of the marquee events on the St. Louis sports calendar,” said FOX Sports Midwest General Manager and Senior Vice President Jack Donovan. “When ESPN picked up the opener, we began working with the Cardinals to ensure that fans throughout the region will be able to watch the ceremony live Sunday night.”

FOX Sports Midwest, the television home of the Cardinals, will carry the first of its 147 regular-season games on Tuesday, April 4.

Adam Wainwright Announced Waino's World Shirts

The St. Louis Cardinals and pitcher Adam Wainwright, in cooperation with Wainwright’s charitable organization, Big League Impact, announced today Wainos Worldthat the Official Cardinals Team Store at Busch Stadium will be the exclusive brick and mortar retailer of Adam’s recently launched “Waino’s World” t-shirt. The soft, stretchy, pre-shrunk shirt is being produced by St. Louis based baseball apparel company, 108 Stitches.
“We approached Adam with the idea to create something fun for the fans to wear on days he pitches,” said Eric Ross, Vice President of 108 Stitches. “Adam loved the idea and decided that this would be a great way to give back to the St. Louis community and raise money for Big League Impact’s global efforts.”
Available for men and women, the comfortable, tri-blend (50% polyester, 25% cotton, 25% rayon) tee will retail for $36 at the Busch Stadium Team Store. For every shirt sold, 108 Stitches will donate a portion of the proceeds to Big League Impact and Cardinals Care. The club is encouraging fans to show their appreciation for Adam by wearing the “Waino’s World” shirt at Busch Stadium on days that he pitches.
“We have the best fans in baseball right here in St. Louis and it fires me up to know that when I pitch they will be wearing these shirts,” said Wainwright. “Not only will they be firing me up, they will be saving and improving lives in St. Louis and around the world.”
Wainwright has spent his entire 12-year major league career in St. Louis and ranks second among the Cardinals all-time strikeout leaders with 1487, trailing only Bob Gibson. A three-time All-Star, Adam enters the season tied with Dizzy Dean for sixth place in career wins for Cardinals pitchers (134) and last year combined with Yadier Molina to surpass Gibson and Tim McCarver for most career starts as Cardinals battery mates (217). Wainwright also ranks third among all active MLB pitchers in career ERA (3.17) behind only Clayton Kershaw and Felix Hernandez.
The Official Cardinals Team Store at Busch Stadium is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Monday-Thursday game days, the store is closed to the public 30 minutes prior to game time.
