Game Report: Predators 4, Blues 0

The Blues’ free fall continued on Sunday as they lost their sixth consecutive game and were shut out for the second game in a row.

The 4-0 loss to the Predators in Nashville kept them on the outside of a playoff spot and set up the possibility of the team either trying to acquire or trade off players before the NHL trade deadline arrives on Monday.

The Blues, 0-5-1 in their last six games, have not lost six games in a row since the end of the 2013-14 season.

The Blues have not scored in their last seven periods as they continued to give no offensive support to goalie Jake Allen, whose record fell to 2-13 in his last 15 starts. In those 13 losses the Blues have scored a combined 16 goals.

The Predators scored twice in the first period and added two more goals in the second period, including the final one when the Blues were on a power-play, to complete a sweep of the four-game season series between the two teams.

The Blues have 19 games remaining in the regular season.

Looking ahead:
The Blues will remain on the road, heading to Minnesota for a game on Tuesday night.
